Virus

A very small capsual of protein, that contains DNA to inject into cells. This cannot reproduce without living cells.

Virology

The study of viruses.

Cell

A small capsule that contains a nucleus, and cytoplasm, and encased in the cell membrane.

Vaccine

A vaccination is an event that will cause the an organism to become immune to infection of a certian disease. For example, an injection.

Raw Materials

Materials that are naturally formed.

Reactant/Reagent

The starting chemicals in a reaction.

Products (Chemistry)

The produced chemicals in a reaction.

Biosafety Levels

Ranging from 1 - 4 the biosafety levels start with the least dangerous diseases at 1, ranging to 4, with the most dangerous. Biosafety level 4 contains diseases such as smallpox, ebola, and other hemmorage causing diseases - these diseases are some of the most feared.

Fungi/Fungus

A fungus is a type of lifeform, that can range from athletes foot, to the common mushroom - thse are microorganisms.

Pathogens

Any infectous micro-organism, for example: bacteria, viruses and fungi.
